Fitness to me is really about how we go about maximizing our potential as human beings. It’s more than just exercising; it’s finding the willpower and the strategies so that you keep showing up time after time.
Fitness is focusing on what you can control, not what you can’t. Which is what makes us mentally stronger. Mentally more capable to do and achieve more that we thought we could.
What we do with our bodies, how we feed ourselves and how we process stress in our lives are all things we can control.
Fitness is not only a physical practice but mental and emotional as well. To be physically fit one must be mentally and emotionally as well. And the good part is, even if one isn’t, you can always train yourslef to be. How you physically work your muscles day in and day out to make it stronger, one has to train the mind to be positive in the same way. To weed out the negativity.
But it all starts with loving yourself, wherever you are at. No one is going to love or care or take away the pain that you’re feeling, but yourself! You have to find that worth, deep within yourself and keep nourishing that. You have to start loving yourself uncondionally from where you are at. It doesn’t matter what age, shape, size, colour or any other insecurity your body holds. Because once you start loving yourself with all your ‘imperfections’ and ‘flaws’ that’s where the healing begins. And you can only start getting better from there.
Body positivity works both ways — you should love yourself no matter what size you are, and no matter how many stretch marks you have. That doesn’t mean you have to accept where you are and remain stagnant. Change means growth, and I believe we should always be growing as humans. As long as you are healthy and treating your body how it should be, you should feel amazing.
Practise daily. Stay safe. Stay humble.🙏❤ Much love😊🙏
